September promises to be a month rich in artistic discoveries, with exhibitions, shows and performances to awaken your senses and feed your curiosity. Here’s my 8 recommendations for the new artistic season, a selection of must-sees and art moments orchestrated by friends to put in your diaries!
September 7 to 14: “Indiscipline” exhibition – Aline Putot-Toupry
Kick off the month with Paris Design Week by diving into my artist friend Aline Putot-Toupry’s immersive experience at Galerie Joseph, 26 rue Ste-Croix de la Bretonnerie to explore human and mineral temporalities through moving, elusive installations.
September 7 to 22: “As you wish” collective exhibition – Eric Dupont
My favorite gallery in Le Marais, where you can discover or rediscover the artists represented by my friend Eric Dupont: Damien Cabanes, Roméo Mivekannin, Terrence Musekiwa, Guy Limone, Mathieu Pernot, Taysir Batniji, Willys Kezi, Carlos Kusnir, Didier Mencoboni, Côme Mosta-Heirt, Paul Pagk, Jacqueline Salmon, Tom Van Der Borght, Katarzyna Wiesiolek, and Stéphane Zagdanski.

September 13 to 17: “Real Lies” exhibition – Lyna Bennani
Head to the Marais to discover the “Real Lies” exhibition the friendly photograph Lyna, bringing together several contemporary artists with works ranging from 2D video to 3D.
Until September 16: At the heart of color – Musée Guimet
Only one week left to visit this captivating exhibition at the Musée Guimet, which traces the fascinating history of Chinese porcelain and its grand feu colors, from the 8th to the 18th century. I loved this exhibition, and recommend it to you before it’s over!
September 20 to December 22: Theater “La racine carrée du verbe être” – Wajdi Mouawad
From September 20 to December 22, Théâtre de la Colline invites you on a gripping journey to the heart of the intimate and the political with La racine carrée du verbe être, a play by Wajdi Mouawad exploring the ramifications of the choices that shape our existence. Jérôme Kircher’s performance is sure to lull you.
September 24 – January 12 2025: Harriet Backer (1845-1932), The music of colors – Musée d’Orsay
Discover Harriet Basket, a Scandinavian painter at the Musée d’Orsay, with an exhibition retracing her artistic career and her feminist commitments. You’ll be able to admire her sensitive portraits of the rural world, as well as her magnificently colorful church interiors. I can’t wait to discover her colors…
September 26: Concert “Lights and Shadows” – Andrei Irimia
Théâtre La Divine Comédie welcomes Andrei Irimia for a unique musical performance combining lights and shadows. At 9pm, let yourself be carried away by his spellbinding melodies in an intimate setting in the heart of Paris, with dances by my friend, dancer, performer and choreographer Daniel POP.
September 27: Eddie Corps fashion show
Finally, end the month of September by discovering the latest trends and creations at the Eddie Corps fashion show in an exclusive setting. I hope you’ll be able to get your invitation for this one!
