Oriane Sossah is a Paris-based contemporary artist who explores both acrylic and digital painting, with a strong focus on colors and their emotional impact. Born in 1987, she is largely self-taught, inspired by her sister Céline Lou Sossah, a graduate of the École des Beaux-Arts and PhD in philosophy of art, as well as by Parisian painter François Mattei.
Her artistic approach combines experimentation and sensitivity. She draws inspiration from great colorists such as Joan Miró and from the representation of women in art history. Her practice is defined by the power of chromatic contrasts and the energy of color, which she uses as a vector of emotion and introspection for the viewer.
Recognized as an emerging French artist, Oriane Sossah has received several prestigious awards: the Beaux-Arts Prize in 2023 presented at the French Senate, the Grand Prize at the Dîner des Arts et de la Culture the following year, as well as the Young Talent Prize in 2022. These distinctions highlight both the maturity of her artistic vision and the technical mastery of her canvases.
As a Paris contemporary artist, Oriane Sossah keeps expanding her creative journey. She blends acrylic and digital painting to push the boundaries of color and emotion. With upcoming exhibitions in Paris and internationally, her work reflects the vitality of today’s art scene and confirms her place among emerging French artists.
