In 2025, Oriane Sossah was honored to serve as a jury member at the Paris-Dauphine University Art Competition – PSL Expo, one of the top universities in France. Alongside Camille Pouyfaucon and Joanes, she evaluated the works of emerging artists and students, contributing to the selection of the winners.
The competition revealed an impressive diversity of mediums and styles, from drawing and photography to installation art. The jury based its decisions on several key criteria: emotional impact, relevance to the theme, technical and artistic quality, and the originality of the medium.
Among the standout works were Le fil de pêche, praised for its sensitive interpretation of family bonds and its rich use of color, and Indissociable, admired for its originality and refined execution. After thorough discussion, Indissociable was awarded first prize, followed by Le fil de pêche in second place and Marco’s installation in third.
For Oriane Sossah, the role of an art jury goes beyond selecting winners. It is about encouraging creativity, supporting young artists, and fostering dialogue. Each artwork must resonate with viewers, transmitting emotion while reflecting coherence and artistic depth. “Art is above all a matter of personal feeling, and diversity of perspectives enriches the conversation,” she explains.
