A Look Back at the 8e Art Article and Eddie Corps’ SS26 Collection
The article dedicated to Eddie Corps by Le 8e Art deeply touched me. It accurately captures the uniqueness of his journey, the strength of his universe, and what makes this SS26 collection so special.
This season, I had the immense pleasure of collaborating with Eddie by hand-painting a coat-haori. A piece inspired by Japanese woodblock prints, the Edo period, and our shared imagination of travel, symbols, and light.
It was a two-voice project, born from an old friendship and mutual trust. I contributed my painting, my patterns, and my inks. Eddie gave it his cut, structure, and textile language. The garment came to life through our two expressions.
The result: a fluid, graphic, inhabited silhouette. And for me, a new way of bringing art and the living into dialogue.
